Niloy Mitter
Faculty (ScoreBoost)
Mr. Niloy Mitter, an Edelman Laureate, is the first Certified Six Sigma Black Belt of Tata Steel. He holds a Post Graduate degree in Operations Research and a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt from Smarter Solutions, Austin, Texas. Mr. Mitter has received numerous awards and accolades throughout his career, including the highest international award in Management Science achievement in 1994 (Franz Edelman Award) and the coveted Edelman Laureate Medal in 2008 in Baltimore, Maryland, USA.
In addition to his impressive achievements, Mr. Mitter is also featured in the Limca Book of Records for being the first Indian to win the Third World Country First Prize in Operations Research from IFORS in 1993. He represented India at the Operation Research Symposium in Japan in 2001 and was invited by IQPC and Marcus Evans to conduct workshops on Six Sigma in Singapore (2003) and Shanghai, China (2005).
Mr. Mitter's dedication to ethics and excellence has been recognized by his peers, and he received the first Best Ethics Counselor Award from Mr. Ratan N Tata, Chairman of Tata Sons, in 2001. He has also received the Tata Steel MD Award twice. With 37 years of service to Tata Steel, Mr. Mitter's expertise and contributions have been invaluable to the organization.
